Full Time Chief Neurodiagnostic Tech

Responsibilities

Job Summary

Full Time/Day Shift/Jefferson Hospital- Center City

Performs a variety of neurodiagnostic studies, both recording and analysis in the EEG lab, patient rooms, various ICU patient rooms, OR, and Epilepsy monitoring unit. Perform All modalities of evoked potentials, long term monitoring EEG, ambulatory EEG. Provides care that is appropriate to the specific chronological age, developmental age, social maturity and cultural background of patients being treated or serviced. Provides direct support to administration and medical directors with regards to personnel scheduling, technical operations and training of personnel in the clinical neurophysiology laboratory and the EMU.

Qualifications

Competencies (Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Required):
High school graduate
Graduate of an END technology educational program which has been recognized by an accredited agency approved by the U.S. Department of Education preferred
At least two years of college is preferred with an emphasis on the sciences.

AND

Minimum of five years technical experience in performing neurodiagnostic procedures under the direction of a boarded Electroencephalographer/Epileptologist. Minimum of six months of technical experience in long term monitoring unit is preferred.

Experience with a variety of computer platforms for neurodiagnostics, audio/visual and computer equipment and other electronic devices and their applications as related to neurodiagnostic procedures.

Minimum Certifications, Registration or License Requirements:

  • Registration by the American Board of Electroneurodiagnostic Technologists, Inc. (ABRET) in EEG (R. EEG T.)
  • Evoked Potentials (R. EP T.) preferred
  • CNIM (ABRET) for Certified Neurointensive Monitoring Technologist in the O.R. preferred


Conditions of Employment
